How NV Film Studios Africa collects, uses and protects personal information submitted through this website.

This policy is a standard-practice draft prepared for NV Film Studios Africa. It has not been reviewed by a legal practitioner. Before publication it should be checked against the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) and, where the site serves visitors in the EU or UK, the GDPR — and the registered entity details above must be filled in.
NV Film Studios Africa (“NVFSA”, “we”, “us”) operates this website and the film studio and production services described on it, from Somerset West, Cape Town, South Africa. We are the responsible party for personal information collected through this site.
We collect only what you choose to send us. Specifically:
We do not ask for, and you should not send us, special personal information such as health, biometric or financial account details through this website.
Enquiry information is used solely to respond to your enquiry, to scope a possible production at our facilities, and to keep a record of that correspondence. Technical log information is used to keep the site available and secure.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use enquiry details for marketing unless you have separately asked to hear from us.
Enquiry details are seen by the NVFSA studio and production services teams. They may also be handled by service providers acting on our instructions — our website host, our email provider, and the form-processing service that delivers enquiries to us. These providers process the information only to provide their service to us.
Some of these providers may store or process information outside South Africa. Where that happens we rely on the provider offering a level of protection comparable to POPIA.
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry and any resulting production, and thereafter for as long as we are required to keep business records. Server logs are retained for a short period by our hosting provider.
Under POPIA you may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to our processing of it, or complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details on our contact page.
This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Pages may store a small amount of information in your browser to remember interface preferences; this stays on your device.
Some pages embed third-party content — a Google Maps frame on the contact page, and YouTube video players that load only after you click to play them. When you interact with that embedded content, the third party may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy.
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access and misuse. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed completely secure, and you send information to us at your own risk.
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
Questions about this policy, or about personal information we hold, can be sent through our contact page.
